Favorite weapon combination?

Changed my mind. My favourite weapon combo is
when you Duct Tape Chainsaws to a canoe paddle.

Oh wait, wrong game. My bad.

Medic: Mp7 along with a Katana and either a bullpup or AK

Support Specialist: Shotguns. All Shotguns (I'm only Level 3 with this perk so I can't carry anything but Pump+Hunting/AA12)

Commando: Bullpup/Scar/Katana, only FP's can give me trouble.

Sharpshooter: Handcannon and a Crossbow. Maybe duel handcannons if I'm feeling badass.

Berserker: Katana and M79. Satisfying to pop that crowd of crawlers.

Firebug: Flamethrower & Handcannon. (Not much options here...)

Demolitions: Nade launcher, katana, and some pipes to lay.

Never play anything but Commando these days, so here are the line-ups I've come up with:

Utility: (Probably my most useful set of weapons)
SCAR (Never going to put the gun down so long as I have a choice)
M14 (Ammo efficiency)
M79 (Crowd control)
Total Weight: 15

Power: (I usually just call this "M32" since the M32's the only weapon I can carry other than my SCAR)
SCAR
M32
Pipebombs (Optional)
Total Weight: 13-14

Efficiency: (As per above, this is usually called "Power" since the majority of my weapons have buffs)
SCAR
AK47 (Second most efficient weapon available to me as far as overall ammo value goes)
MP7/Machete (I am not touching that God damn 1,000 pound butter knife so long as my brain is still in functioning condition)
Total Weight: 15

Pest Control: (Only really use it for sandbox gametypes and when I'm not too concerned about our team's viability)
SCAR
Bullpup
MP7/Machete
Total Weight: 15

And that's pretty much it. I'll go with M3/SCAR sometimes, but it's not something I'm too likely to pick since it's inefficient and not terribly useful.
Considering I've no real reason to go to another perk (the reload speed bonuses and ZED time extensions have saved my life more times than I can readily count), I don't think I'll develop any new patterns.

Whaaat.

Pretty much the only perks I play are Commando and Medic, and my loadouts for both are pretty standard and boring. For Commando, AK + bullpup until I can afford AK + SCAR. Occasionally I'll buy a Katana if I have titloads of money that no one needs but it's more for the novelty. I hardly ever find myself using it.

As Medic I usually buy dual HC along with the MP7. I try to avoid buying an xbow unless my team really sucks.

Medic: Nearly anything with the MP7. Katana, fire axe, crossbow, AK (if there's money to piss away, or a commando who actually buys you stuff if you give him money)

Sharpshooter: Handcannon + crossbow, or lever action + handcannon for laughs. The 9mm is generally my "default" gun.

Support Specialist: Many possible combinations, few I actually like. Pump-action + Hunting Shotgun/AA12 + MP7. Never do I use an AA12 and hunting shotgun. On easier difficulties the upper tier shotties get replaced with a crossbow for FPs and scrakes.

Commando: AK + Scar (+ MP7 if available). There's never a situation in which I find myself wishing I had a katana; healing is always good though. Won't get into why I prefer the AK over a bullpup.

Firebug: Flamer + Handcannon for husks and the rare reload interruption.

Berserker/Demo: Don't really play these classes anymore. I imagine katana + crossbow and M32 + handcannon would be fine for nearly everything.

My favourite loadout, not necessarily my best or most efficient one, is as follows:

LAW
Shotgun

LAW for LAWlz and range, Shotgun for CQC and when the LAW runs out.

My best loadout is Crossbow, Handcannon and 9mm.
Crossbow for Scrakes, Husks and Fleshpounds, maybe Sirens, Handcannon everything else. 9mm is backup to Handcannon and i may find myself using it as my main until i can reload my Handcannon.

That's not the most affordable setup. What perk vs wave sequence do you use? Assuming you do SS at some point to get the discount.

I'm a commando junkie too although it's not the only thing I play. I was on a server solo last night and found this to be really effective:

SCAR
Katana

There just aren't enough zeds with a single player to ever run out of ammo. You could leave the SCAR on full auto even.
Katana is your backup and scrake killer.

This leaves you waay under weight and you can move and kite pretty well. Plus without the typical AK in the mix you have room to also grab a few pipes to use on FPs (one pipe does the trick when it's just single player)

I'm aware, but I usually hold that loadout as my top tier set of weapons.
On Solo, this is actually very easy to come by, however. Especially if you prefer Normal + three faked players like I do.

Well, the last time I played a class other than Commando has to have been months ago. Call me stubborn, but it's what I enjoy.

I've actually found the M79 to be quite effective against fleshpounds on its own. Two hits on Solo Normal and they're down. It only starts running into trouble when you've got four or more players - but by then, assuming everyone's not running around with their heads up their asses, it's simple enough to call it out and drown it in fire.
