Sten Gun model:
This is my WIP model of the Sten Gun, which will replace the AK-47 in game. I still need an animator and a coder for it to be usable. I think this would most preferably use the SCAR firing sounds, unless custom sounds can be made.

EDIT- Updated pictures above, the basic model is complete, I've yet to add the finer details to the mesh.

This is very, very nice. As usual for weapon-related threads, I'm going to suggest Bren Gun.

After exam period, I'm gonna be taking up modelling. :) And If I can make something nice, I'll post it to ya so you can see. I'd like to help you! :D

But hey, can't the RO models just be ported and then worked on afterwards? Should save more time that way, right? :p

Hmm, it'd be much more rewarding for the modders if all the work is original, and more refreshing for players, but I do see your point, I could see about porting a few models and sounds from RO.

Anyway, without further ado, here's the completed model for the S-mine, ready to be textured and animated.

The animation shouldn't be too hard really, for the triggering it would just go up a then KABOOM! Still needs the usual withdrawing and retracting animations plus the placement.

Of course something that is done by yourself always "feels" better and actually its good that you see it that way. But I just think it might be funny to kill zombies with a luger or an MG42. And animating an MG with a belt is quite some work and takes much time to make it look good. And I don't think TW has a problem using their work for their games....
Fun lol XD You can't imagine how much trouble the MK23 made..... The Animations had some flaws at beginning the code made problems and so on lol But after all ... well there's alot that makes fun. Like killing zombies with your own weapon!

I see your point, we deliberately avoided using belt fed weapons for this (my original plan was to make a .30 cal Browning MG), since the animations would be hellish.

Yeah but I think if you really want to animate it and take some time it can be done too. However trying to get it from RO must be funny too :D.
All you need are
Animation files (ready to use as they are - same engine and formats)
Sounds (same here)
Script (take reference of kf scripts)
Once we have more time I think KF will get the RO MG42:D
