+prisoners in RO HOS

It s a "crazy" idea...
But it will be great if we can capture the ennmy !
With the "sawt 4 " system...
This system is not perfectly realistic...but it s better than have no capturing system.

+this system in link with moral ?

Maybe the moral can be used look like a link with this capture system ?
there are several level of moral and propaganda and in fews worst levels you can captured ?

kommandir and gruppen have better moral level ( or maybe they can t be in worst moral level ? )

NB :
it is crazy idea...but it is interresting (with also moral and propaganda questions )

Russians and Germans took as few captives as possible.

I was reading a book a while back following some Canadians through Europe. They found a wounded German soldier and patched him up and left him for the medic to take care of, as they were walking away he pulled a pistol and shot one of them in the back. They found out later that he had been transfered back from the russian front and thought he was going to be captured and tortured to death... ( figured he would take one last one with him i guess)

Shooting prisoners is never uncommon anywhere. Even on the Western Front, there were more prisoner shootings than one would think. I was watching a random interview of an American veteran on YouTube who several times non-nonchalantly talked about the shooting of prisoners. From what I remember, it was frequently done if they found something as minuscule as a pack of Lucky Stripes on the prisoner or if the captors didn't feel like making an escort trip back to a prison cage.

On the Eastern Front it was even far worse, taking into account the overwhelming amount of dehumanization played by both parties.

the whole idea seems pretty unrealistic for use in stalingrad

very few prisoners were taken by either side during the course of the battle until the very end, when the entire surviving german force surrendered as a whole to the red army (and I'm sure there wasn't a whole lot of prisoner shooting then, seeing as how it's kinda hard to shoot thousands of prisoners all at once;))

in the heat of the battle, neither side had the time to take prisoners, there was simply too much going on to be able to escort prisoners back to the HQ. Not to mention for the russians it meant having to take them all the way across the Volga, all while being shot at by artillery and dive bombers. Both sides were pretty pissed off, I'm sure they would rather just put the prisoners down on the spot

not to mention, how do you take prisoners in a game like RO? I could see how it might work in an RPG-military shooter, like if OFP, RO, and WoW had a three-way and ended up with a kid. But I doubt TWI would touch a nasty ho like blizzard with a ten foot pole:p

do you have to walk the prisoners back to base camp? Do you have the option to surrender or fight to the death? In a game like RO, where you will die MANY times, it seems like a waste to want to 'preserve' your virtual life by surrendering

Yeah all these wonderfull ideas inspired me to help people out.

So i present to you the Red Orchestra HOS story generator.
Its in its beta stage but it works fine.

My story

Drecks was friends with an Kalmuk soldier in an icy balka during an important infantry attack on purpose and banged his head on a T34 which caused a lot of damage he grabbed the detonator and while wearing his lucky Mosin Nagant he got kidnapped and almost tortured to death.

My Story (generated) :D

FlyXwire fought with Vasily Zaitchev after winning the battle and got buried in bunker because his leg hurt and went for a long walk through the factory area. Then FlyXwire ran around like a lunatic, he blew up a truck with a hand grenade and just as he hoped he killed the fascists and made it away with minimal injuries.

Works fine Milkman.

Mr Milkman fought with an NKVD officer on a Zis truck during the 2th attack of the Traktor Factory because he had no wodka at all the night before and decided to plan a new attack which completely freaked him out he jumped out of the way as the roof collapsed and while wearing his lucky Mosin Nagant he accidently tripped and smashed his face against a rock.

Maybe it would work for the losing team ? When there's only a few reinforcements left rather than hide and hold up a round for ages, drop your weapons, come out and wave a white flag to show that you have surrendered. You will also get awarded points and achievements for doing so.
