We love it and we hate it: random arty. On such maps like Baksan Valley or Zhitomir it was climatic part of war.

My suggestion is 1st to bring it to RO:HoS and make it 100% random. 2nd For now artillery hits randomly in same spots on the map. Lets say, now it can hit every area of map except spawn zones.

ps. ofcouse not all maps should have random arty
ps. 2 dont make it too OP. that like it was in RO:O was fine. Element of suprise :)

Element of suprise, yes. But you should hear a few seconds before the sound of the projectile in the air...

What, you mean that you should hear it when it's coming at you? Not possible mate, unless you're 1km away from the target. The shells travel at such high speed that you'd be dead before you'd hear the whistle sound.

Not to mention you would not be able to even fire indirect fire that close with any regular howitzer or artillery piece other than mortars, and in that case you would just hear distant "plop" many many many seconds before the shell actually lands.

I was talking about the whistling sound the arty (not mortar) rounds make when they are flying. Like here just when you can see the rounds hitting the target area: YouTube - Tykistö ampuu Rovajärvellä
