Umm...yeah,i got in trouble by my Clan Leader because i screwed up the server, we had to restart it from scratch, so that's y i wanted a video so i know exactly what to do.
EDIT: Hmmm...We can upload things to our clan website(thats where we put mods and stuff for CoD4), would that be ok? and BTW thanks soo much for helping me
Cruel leader!!! I'm co leader in mine so if i f-up they don't care
- it should only take 5 mins or so to reset a server to defaults! It's not difficult, they shouldn't be complaining (if they don't know they just need to copy default.ini into killingfloor.ini and wa-la good to go). Ideally you should have a backup of any files your changing whenever you change anything!!! Especially killingfloor.ini.
I can't really produce a video, I think most is covered in the original tutorial, you can definately use your clans website for storage. Just create a new folder like
www.youserver.com/killingfloor and put everything in there. That's all the .uz2 files, maps, textures, mods etc all in that one folder with no sub-folders. When you put the path in the redirect area of killingfloor.ini make sure it reads:
RedirectToURL=http://www.yourhost.com/maps/
with the / at the end!
Personally I'd set up the redirect first and every time you save the killingflor.ini you'll need to restart your server without visiting the webadmin.
Maps go in the maps folder of your server (.rom), textures in the textures folder (.utx) and mods in the system folder (.u .int and other). They usually have readme's if they are complex.
Once they're in restart the server and they will show up on webadmin, from there you can do what you want! Remember you're not the first to have issues, if you search this part of the forums I could almost guarantee someone has had the problem before.
