Ok so im thinking yeah i love the medic.. lately i have been using medic perk a lot and enjoy it thoroughly but as everyone knows Medic Perk lacks a lot of damaging power. so here it is.. MP7M added effect to healing dart from gun. how about this? POISON!!.

MP7M healing dart poisons specimens for a duration.

MEDIC LEVEL 1! = Poison damage of 5hp every 3 seconds for a duration of 15 seconds

MEDIC LEVEL 2! = Poison damage of 5hp every 3 seconds for a duration of 20 seconds

MEDIC LEVEL 3! = Poison damage of 10hp every 3 seconds for a duration of 20 seconds

MEDIC LEVEL 4! = Poison damage of 15hp every 3 seconds for a duration of 30 seconds

MEDIC LEVEL 5! = Poison damage of 15hp every 3 seconds for a duration of 40 seconds

MEDIC LEVEL 6! = Poison damage of 20hp every 3 seconds for a duration of 60 seconds.

how does that sound huh?

please leave feedback

I doubt you'd get any kills with those dps affecting only 1 enemy at a time with a gun that needs to recharge after 2 shots.
Especially considering that one single shot of the mp7 does 20-25 (yeah you read that right. I couldn't believe it too.) damage.
But yeah, why not.

So it's like a single enemy flamethrower with a terrible reload? Why bother? You should be using those darts to heal with and it would not significantly increase dps.

The main problem is that, once you see it, others see it, too. And that's that. Damage is too pathetic vs scrake or fp, not count in partriarch. But they can be killed in 1-shot, so why bother?

Perhaps it could have another use. Like slowing them down.

Slowing down high-priority targets would be interesting, and would give the medic something to do besides plink away at targets when his team doesn't need healing, but it would often be pointless. Slow dart a scrake, who immediately gets xbowed. It could make the xbow shot easier though, especially if the scrake/fp is moving sideways. A medic could assist a sharpshooter or just whip out his own xbow right afterwards for the easy headshot. The effect should be temporary, maybe slowing the zed by 30% until it wears off or the zed is killed. Perhaps this would slow raging scrakes/fps by a lesser amount. This ability would be more useful on open maps, where everyone isn't concentrating their fire on 1 or 2 areas. A medic could literally slow every scrake/fp while his team does its thing. Doing extra damage per second (poison) isn't really the medic's forte anyway, he's strictly a support class, and slowing down the big threats would be excellent support. The slow %/duration should be proportional to the Medic's syringe potency (lvl 6 gets 3X better slow than lvl 2). Perhaps it could even make FP's and scrakes take longer to rage, or have extra effect with multiple doses.

I'm starting to like the slow dart idea a LOT.

(also, faster MP7 reload for medic plz)

Like letting the poisoned target take a tad more damage with each dose?
say 10% more each shot so you can instantly give one 20% and have it move slower because it... uhh... tenderizes their body or makes them more sensitive to pain because their organism is... cloned?

Neat idea, but it is lacking. While other class have in attack medic has in defencsive. You have your SUPER body armor, increase speed, and healing.
Right now the mp7 is my favorite weapon. It can do a ton of head shots if you burst fire and aim carefully. There's no reason to poison when there is fire dps. Even if you could poison it would only be useful of anything from bloat and up, but that is what the damage classes are for.

Nice idea, but it just wouldn't fit that well.

So anything in this area would be an improvement...
Well, yeah, but will it really make enough difference. If you increased the player's health by 3 points it would be an improvement but really wouldn't do anything.

Drunk specs! But honestly while the med gun could do with an upgrade it would likely be in something that makes it a more viable main weapon, the argument being that with all the massive damage other perks can dish out - between tier three and perk bonuses - why bother even playing medic? Survivability is based more on slaughtering mobs so you don't get overrun and with scrakes and FPs trivialized as usual, it is likely you will die from being mobbed rather than the odd gorefast that kills you because you didn't have a medic. The easiest way to balance it to lower perk bonuses or use a perk level mod, but most people don't like these options.
