Hey I just got done purchasing and trying the scar for the first time and I don't know it just those not feel like the most effiecent gun in Killing Floor. Now for everyone who knows about the scar, it is NOT a cheap gun, at all (unless you got the lvl 3> Commando) and honestly I think it's a waste of pounds.

First of all the recoil is HORRIBLE with automatic... the gun litterly spazzes out after you shoot for half a second! Now with semi-automatic it is alright recoil but honestly who wants to be always clicking their mouse; it's a ASSAULT rifle not a SNIPER rifle.

Next, the ammo for it is dissapointing. Sure it has a good number of clips but 22 shots per clip?! The Bullpup has 40 shots per clip and I can buy it for about 280 pounds.

I don't recommend using the Scar because it's just not the fast paced weapon that belongs in this game. The weapon acts like the crossbow strong weapons and fire slowly but the Crossbow is suppose to fire slowly while the Scar is a assault rifle and suppose to fire rapidly and at the same time have a good recoil. Commandos... stick to the bullpup and the AK

im beginning to feel these posts are troll oriented on the complainers part. look bubcakes like it or not the scar kicks ***, thats why it has that hefty price tag. if you dont like the price tag say pretty please to a higher level commando over voip at the beginning of a trader round and pass him the $$. the scar fills a purpose, and that is giving the commando a gun that can actually effectively hurt fp's and scrakes, as well as easily deal with everything beneath that; remember you can still carry a bullpup OR an ak as commando and you should.

I'm not saying that the gun is a complete falure it's just for the lower commando it can be a really hard gun to control because of the recoil and price but yeah for like a lvl 4 or higher it can be the zombies worse nightmare.

i think you get 25 bullets at level 3 commando

and i see what you mean, i didnt find it that much useful...i was using the AK more

but a SCAR in the hands of a level 5 is godlike, bordering on EBR power...if not more, im unsure....havnt seen it in level 6 yet but i never use the commando anyway so i cant make much of an opinion about it.

Yeah SCAR is all about stopping power rather than being accurate, altho i must say shooting an FP like an idiot seems to work, just make sure ur lvl 3+ :p

but if you really cant handle it bullpup is still one of the best guns we can get at any lvl on commando

(this post is compared to other commando guns)

and with the SCAR you can say goodbye to that AK you keep as a secondary :D

Dude bullpup is only good for killing weak specimens, AK for moderate (siren, scrake, bloat) and SCAR for scrake and fleshpound. From my experience i love the recoil of SCAR becos it's realistic enough and gameplay versus real life the gun's recoil is too difficult to control if u went fully automatic. If u hate it play sharpshooter then.

I watched a video for SCAR, recoil on automatic is just like in the game, and a professional was firing it.
So, controlled tapping is the key, just like short bursts for bullpup and single shots for AK.

I don't see any problem with SCAr except that it has poor textures in ironsight mode.

got the damage easily cos I used AK with support specialist perk to back up my shotgun. Killing Stalker is the hardest part, because many other players shoot em before you can.

The scars recoil is MUCH worse than the M14s when comparing a lv 6 commando using the scar and a lv6 sharp shooter using the m14. I agree with you that the recoil of the m14 is worse when ur not a sharpshooter though.

LMFAO of course your not supposed to take on FPs your job is to kill every zed around the big guy. Then after everything around it is dead then you unload a clip into it then switch back to killing the smaller zeds.

Yea, the magazine is short, this is to teach you to reload strategically. Yea, there are many magazines, this is to teach you to kill every malformed abomination you come across, except the Trader. Yea, the Trader is spared for she furnishes you with the holy SCAR and the ammunition it asks of you. Yea, the cost is high, this is to make you appreciate the SCAR and what it does for you.
