Very Long Loading Time

I bought this game earlier today and tried to play about an hour ago. As soon as I tried to play a game, even a single player game, the loading time is about 5-15 minutes, sometimes longer. The loading times of this game make it unplayable most of the time. Please tell my why this is happening and any ways to make it faster.

loading times on the 2.5 engine depend on 2 things:

1. Fragmentation. when was the last time you defragged your hard drive? this can slow down loading times a bunch. http://www.defraggler.com/

2. Texture settings and quality settings in general. If you have your texture settings cranked all the way up or moderately high, try lowering them a bit. there's no real difference between "ultra high" quality textures and "higher" quality textures. the higher the quality the longer it will take to load.

also, turning off unneeded lighting like coronas is one thing less that the engine has to load. though, don't turn off dynamic lighting or your flashlight wont work.

one thing that helps loading times is using a cpu accelerator.

it makes the active window a higher priority then background processes. therefore using your ENTIRE cpu to load the map and thus making it load faster.

Would that same thing help the framerate? Now the loading time is normal, but the framerate can get pretty bad after about 30 minutes of gameplay.
