Community feature wishlist

This is gonna be a community wishlist for smallerish changes.

Ill put some things in that i heard people say alot. So post here if you think of some. Or some that should be removed. Or if you think something should be a high priority or lower ill later change the stars before the points depending on general consensus.

I wont add bugs to the list, or really major changes for gameplay. Just general features and game options.

*** Perks / Mutators ***
- Whitelisting some mutators for KF that are appropriate.
- When playing on a non whitelisted server ability to use the last perks you had when you played on a whitelisted server without the ability to level (if possible also working offline).

*** Difficulty & Voting ***
- Adding an option to vote for game difficulty
- Allowing a server to enable/disable diffculty voting.
- Adding the skilled difficulty in webadmin & filters (difficulty level 3)

*** Hints ***
- Ability to disable the huge hints that appear when you come close to an interactable object.
Like press E to open this door, even when E isn't bound to the use key.

*** Perks and Sandbox ***
- Allowing perks to work with sandbox settings that are harder than the default.
Like increased max specimen onscreen (if set higher than default 32)
Trader times shorter than default
- Starting/Respawn money when set lower than default
- Allowing mappers/Servers to set their server so there are no perks at all

*** Demo Playback / Spectating ***
- Ability to turn of the grain filter
- Ability to spectate or watch players from the first person perspective
(even if first person weapons do not show from that perspective)

*** Sound options ***
- Ability for users to turn off automated trader sounds
- Ability for users to turn off automated player sounds
- Ability for users to completely turn off voicechat

*** Menu options ***
- Ability to turn off/on precaching with a toggle button from the menu. (faster loading times for maps but possibly some stuttering)
- Defaulting the game with "reduce mouselag" to off

*** Hud / Ingame menus / map loading screen ***
- Often people seem to complain about the ease of usage and the looks of both the hud and menus. (Health and Armor are hard to track), so a better looking/easier to use hud and menus.

*** Bastard Proofing ***
- Making entraces to the traders bigger or disable player clipping during trader time.

*** Zedtime ***
- Adding the ability for a server to enable or disable zed time.

*** Perk level Restrictions ***
- Ability for servers to limit players that can play on a server.
To have perks above or below a certain level.

*** Dead bodies ***
- As dead bodies do not block your vision.
A max amount of dead bodies staying ingame.
So they stay as long onscreen as the end users system can cope with.

***Money ***
- Some more balancing between money distribution.
At the later levels on normal/hard/easy you are swimming in money
even after you've given your dead teammates their dosh because they died.
- If you get price reductions on weaponry you should get reductions on the ammo as well.
For quite some weapons filling it up is more expensive than selling and buying it new.

*** Expansion of the general game ***
More weaponry (maybe some from ro)
More maps
More zombie types (more bosses / more longer range)
More gameplay types
More selectable player models and skins
More perks (maybe a demolition class)
More different voice sets for players to choose from.

yes all ideas here are WIN! heres some to add:
-more weapons (mp5, uzis, mines, m1 garand, molotovs,rpg)
-more maps (hospital, cemetary, subway ect)
-better HUD and menus, server browser ect, they all look like they done using paint
-a demnolition perk giveing more explosive damages, less back splash from LAW, this perk makes LAW useful
-more player models (maybe custmisation)
- a new boss (look on forums for black widow)

Great list, just don't like the idea of the m1 garand, I'd rather replace that with a long range magnum sniper rifle.

I really miss a true sniper rifle in this game, and also more submachines too. They simply need to add additional weapons to the rooster, because as it is right now it looks kind of empty. There are free online games that have a much bigger weapons rooster than KF, and that needs to change. ;-)

Kulik in what way do you mean can you give an example of gameplay.

I created topic somewhere on this forum named "can't run out of ammo", in that i suggested to make unregular trader spawn between waves. Like 60% that trader will spawn after first wave, if not then 75% after second wave, if not 100% after third and then repeat. ..or as someone in that thread suggested just shorten the ammo carrying capacity to 2/3 or maybe 1/2.

I also proposed to create a game mode similar to zombie master in HL2 engine and gameplay based on earning cash by not just killing zombies but completing various objectives but i guess is asked too much for now. anyway the link: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=32896
