Multiplayer and Hosting displays WARNING

So, whenever I attempt to try the Multiplayer or Host a game options at the main menu, all I get is a tab declaring "WARNING" in red text, with a button further below saying "OK". Clicking said button does absolutely nothing but let me get back to the main menu, making it impossible to play multiplayer in any way shape or form.

That said, I'm running Windows XP. Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem. I thought it was my oddly sized screen at first, but changing screen setups changed nothing. All I get is "WARNING" "OK." Strangely, I can still play solo games.

I am running on Windows 7 build 7000 x64. I have attached my dxdiag for reference.

Anyone have any ideas about this? Please?

Work-around

Work-around

Okay, so I sort of found a workaround for this.

First, make sure the appropriate ports are open. Mine were not. See here: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=30727

Next, open your Steam server list (little button at the bottom left of main Steam window.)

Finally, select the game you want to play from there and it will manually put you into that game. I just got done with a game and it was great!

Curiously, if you exit that game afterwards, you can see the ingame server list, but if you back out from that, you cannot get back to it again, as it keeps giving the "WARNING" warning.

Yoshiro, will you and the guys please take a look into this? It's a pretty odd bug. I'd be willing to supply all the information needed to make a proper fix if needed.
