I found the movie fantastic, I loved the fact that even though it deals with a sensative subject (Israeli-Lebanon war) It does not take sides but rather gives the viewpoint of the simple grunts.

I've read about this in my movie magazine. Supposed to be really good. And from the trailers, it certainly appears so.

I love the cartoon style.

Didn't even notice till you said it. The surfing and the sunny background black sillouettes. Nice.

Just saw the movie with subs and its a really, really good movie. Very moving and diffrent.

Same here, saw it yesterday, very good and moving. An important movie, especially with whats happening in Palestine these days...

Definitely one I'll be getting on DVD.

I've just watched it, and it's pretty amazing. Even though it's cartoony, it's still pretty gripping. Especially towards the end, but can't say too much about that since that's what the whole movie is about.

I can definately recommend it!

Meh, I wanted to see it in the cinema but 4 weeks after the release it wasn't shown anymore

So I am waiting for the DVD release but I see it is already avaiable in the net (nice filenames Shadrach )

Saw this at the Bradford Animation Festival and was totally blown away.

Great animation and a great story from a conflict not often shown, especially with such little bias. It doesn't claim the characters are right or wrong, it just shows what happened and why. Would definately recommend it to everyone with any interest in military history.

Been reading up on the key players of this event and of the event itself. I always knew of an atrocity carried out by christians, and of it being the worst of its kind against Palestinians/Lebanese, but never in such detail!

Its quite fascinating that so many were not brought to justice, but were all eventually 'knocked off' by one party or another.

They never show indie-films in NL. Control wasn't widely distributed either, and I haven't seen Waltz with Bashir on any cinema's agenda either. What's the point if you only show sh it and popular movies.

Oh well, DVD I guess.

So WTF happened to the Christians in Lebanon? Did they eventually get overwhelmed by Islamic forces or what? They do not teach us anything about this stuff in school... although it was happening while I was in elementary school so it is no surprise there...
