[Crash] RO does not load properly.

Everything seems fine until I start loading in to a map then it freezes and never goes any further. I heard of long load times in the game and even gave it up to 1 hour to load, still nothing. I have tried all the fixes in the stickies but with no success.

Do you have onboard video at 64MB only? In other words, you don't actually have a graphics card?

It's an onboard card that uses DVMT. (I haven't had any issues like this with other games like AAO, WoW, GW, etc...)

Loading into a map? a practice map or a multiplayer online map?

If practice works that's a good sign.

Online maps not already in your map folder or in your cache (already played) can be rather large and can have other packages to download, but you should see a progress report as this is occurring in online game.

shouldnt take an hour unless you are using antique modem.. so try check/uncheck dynamic netspeed.

but it may be a video issue as Mr Moe intimates, try gearing down your video and going into practice mode.

If you can get it to work in practice, try different servers playing a standard map online

Did you follow this, and then try to set everything ingame to the lowest setting as well. Like tiny resolution and everything lowest just to see if it loads.

(try using the direct3d renderer not direct3d9x as well.
