Operational Sytem - Windows XP/Vista (FAT 16/32 file systems not supported for Digital Download)
Processor – 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
Memory – XP: 512 MB RAM / Vista: 768 MB RAM
Hard Drive – At least 300 MB of hard drive space for installation, plus additional space for created creatures. (600 MB for digital download)
Video Card – A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0*
For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game
requires at least:

The official Spore site was updated with two new official videos!


The first one shows a bit of every stage, while Will Wright himsel is talking. There are some vey cool scenes, and weird planets.

The second one is about the creature phase. It seems to be sure that there is no blood in the game any more. The grass and other small plants seem to be more realistic than before.

Sooo cartoony.. in a tired Mario sort of way. What's the deal? No offense, but this is made for children, no?
Just because a game looks cartoony it automatically makes it a title that only kids would enjoy? Far from it.

Just in the creator creator, you can immediately tell it's not for children. Immature people are obviously flocking to it, but so are older, more mature persons. I doubt many kids are going to have the patience or the understanding on the whole evolution thing here.

You should really read up on the title at various game sites.
