Nice. Thank you for the link. Wanted to try Portal anyway. 
It also seems to include HL2eathmatch and Lost Coast. Is that only because I already have the box version of HL2 (I know HL2M came free with it) or does every NVidia user get HL2M for free with that offer?
If that was true, I could get my friend to download it and we would be able to play Sourcemods together, is that correct? I mean, HL2M is all you need for most of the total conversion type mods!?
Would be cool if someone could clarify this.

No you need something that has access to the SDK base. HL2 or EP1 or EP2, CS Source, DoD Source and Orange box. If you want to play mods, somewhere along the line you have to stump up some cash.
I recommend Episode 1 as its only a fiver ($9.95).

AND you get Peggle Extreme!!!
Quite annoyed though, cos that was the only reason for pre ordering the orange box, ... oh and the discount....and TF2 beta.... but mostly peggle extreme, it made me feel special having somthing not many other people would have.

@DCode: But I can play Source mods as long as I have HL2M installed. I don't need to have HL2 installed. Maybe it installs the source SDK automatically for me since I have HL2 and it only gets rid of it once no source game is installed anymore!?

I was wrong. HL2 Deathmatch does grant you access to the SDK base:

Peggle isn't that good. Won every level on the first try except the last one... all in all a meh game that doesn't need much brain to beat.

Rattus, I wasnt saying peggle was hard or anything else, more like its just stuipidly addictive. Portal though is just a brilliantly designed game, while easy on the most part, one or two bit later on may stump you depending on how your mind works.
Though just as that Yahtzee guy said, i started the game expecting a portal based first person puzzler and found one of the best designed, innovative and entertaining games ive ever played.

Can you elaborate more on this?
For example: Have you ever purchased a source based game with your steam account? If not have you downloaded any of the freebies and tried to install a mod?
I ask this because i am sure i heard the same thing a while ago - that you could not install mods on freebies including HL2: DM but the fortress forever manual made me think otherwise.
This needs clearing up.
