Hey guys,
Given the sheer amount of blockbusters hitting the screen, I had a chance to view Sweeney Todd today. It's an excellent musical, I especially appreciate the ash gray tone of urban London as well as the costume designs. Both entertaining and emotionally engaging as well.
I was a bit skeptical of this movie after having seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which was immensely disappointing on all accounts for me. Thankfully, with the R rating, Tim Burton can be no holds bar in this movie in terms of the language/violence/gore, etc.
This movie flew under the radar originally, but has since picked up quite a few positive critic reviews lately.
Anyways, Sweeney Todd is overall a good story with a few twists and turns that I would highly recommend checking out.
