Well, I just got my first car! Here it is!

1965 VW Camper

Interior needs sorting, but, other than that its sweet as!

I had a friend with one of these and he completely re-did the interior as well... really fun ride. Good purchase man. Parts are not out-of-this-world expensive either. Any rust at all?

Theres a few tiny sposts of rust, but, nothing major. It ran lovely on the about 100 mile journey back from London, had it up to about 65 - 70, thanks to the reconditioned (super green) engine, and gearbox.

The interior was started by the previous owner, but, needs headlining, the Rock n' Roll bed in the back needs to be covered with the foam and material, and the front seats are in need of repairs / completely redoing.

I love it though!

Very nice indeed.We had a lot of fun in those in the early seventies. If you don't mind me saying, have you researched what it would be worth if restored to original. Is that original colors as well? Could be worth lots to a collector. Nice score though!

I dont think it is the original paint, cos, according to my dad it looks new, and a relatively poor job. So, I'll probably have to get it repainted in a few years.

If I were to get it painted up nicely, do all the interior, put some 5 spoke BRM's on, and just get it done properly, they often go for more than

Ah... the memories.....

Nice ! I had one in the mid 70s but it was painted with a Silver anti rust coating and where it had bumps and dents I painted sticky plasters and bandages.

Done the festivals, Stonehenge, Glastonbury and a few others, smoked dope got laid, and was a fan of Fat Freddy's Cat !
