Level Design RO-Sukhininci_B1

From the one picture that shows the wide open space (with the MG in the foreground), my interest has been peaked. I love those types of maps that have long flat, but irregular areas that you need to run across to get to the defenders. Maps like Kryukovo, Konigs, Mannikala etc. They make for great long range rifle/MG battles. Do you know of any servers running this map? Cant wait to try it

In the absence of any pros, here goes....

When you have decided which terrain texture you want to use and have applied it to the layer get your terrain info actor icon in the viewport.

Open its properties -> terraininfo -> layers -> 'your layer'

Change the properties called uscale and vscale until your terrain layer stops sucking.

As for the distance fog... you should also add a fogring to your skybox; these are stored in the hemisphere static mesh packages. Once you pick a fogring, use the "pick" option on your zone info distance fog colour property to match the color of your distance fog to the color of the fogring you chose. This will make your horizon as well as distant areas of your map look much more realistic.

Word of warning though... the pick option (basically like an eyedropper in Photoshop) is very temperamental and can often pick the green colour that selected meshes have
