As kind of a sidenote, I got to handle one of those last weekend. Kind of a weird piece. I can't stand the sights on it - I hate the wood in front of the rear sight!

Hm. It's like that on both of my Mausers, and the others I've handled. I'm not such a big fan of it either ... the sights feel like they're just way too -low-.

Looks more like the L85A1 than the -A2. I think it's one of the second-line A1 rifles, the ones with the sights built into the carrying handle.


Regardless, it's still one of the SA80 family.
