adding a tank commander?

and a radio in tanks to for arty calling

Radios have also been discussed earlier.

There were no portable radios in that kind of numbers, that they could be introduced to platoon/company level fighting.

And by the way, portable radios of WWII era were very much less "portable" than for example Vietnam era radios.

Not to mention their range was poor back then with portable field radios.

But tank radios, well germans did have (AFAIK) 'decent' radios, but still we would have the problem that how often you just see a tank randomly calling arty there and there?

Besides, I can imagine when half of the tanks begins to call arty even when it is not really needed.

lol, I meant so only the tank commader guy could call arty, which is one guy

Not all tanks had radios anyway. And most of the time the radios were used more to coordinate among the armored elements, rather than call in artillery or air strikes. I mean, I suppose you could, yeah, but tank radios are more for saying "Flank left just over that hill."

oic, but wouldn't the platton or company commander have one, I know russains didn't have many radios, but if it isn't historical, then screw it
