Anyone have this game? It's old (2003) but still fun to play. It was originally called Seadogs 2. There is a mod out called community build that fixes the game and makes it enjoyable....it's so addicting. As a reference, if you've ever played Mount and Blade Pirate Mod, it's a lot like that except better. Right now I'm picking up supplies and trading with people, unfortunately the Brits have forced me to do their dirty work

Its alright, especially with the Build mod. I can't get into it that much, though, it just CTDs too much and the melee combat is absolutely unforgiving.

I have it for the original Xbox. It was actually pretty fun when the Xbox didn't freeze on me every five minutes. But besides that I had a good time with the game and while the combat wasn't all that, it was interesting going to the different ports, trading goods, making money, etc.

I didn't know it was for the PC though

It isn't even worth playing the vanilla game. PotC without the Build mod is like Fallout 2 without the patch.

Yeah, it rocks with the Build Mod. It's successor Age of Pirates - Caribbean Tales is better though, allbeit you can't get out of towns and explore the jungle.

exploring is half the battle! I just love going out and finding new places, if only we had a need for explorers and adventurers today... stupid modern world.

Everything looks the same, and last time i installed it it completely bugged my entire pc and nothing worked the way it should anymore, requiring a full reinstall of windows.
Havent touched it since and im not going to

This was a great game, especially with this mod, even if it was rough around the edges.

I highly recommend getting Age of Pirates, as it is technically Sea Dogs III.

First of all, you can sail a great part of the carribean, and not only 7 fictional islands.
You can own land.
The ecnomoy of the archipelago is dynamic.
