How about being the only game where the dead DON'T disaapear after a while. Since most servers are 32 players and most games 20 min or less with limited reinforcements, this shouldn't be a problem. Talk about true realism. No other game has that. And since the disapearence seems to be based on a timer in the code, then it shouldn't be too much trouble to alter it. Or make it a realism option on the server side.
 
it would drain resources. also the ragdolls are clientside, so if you decided to hide behind a wall of corpses, the enemy would probably still see you, because the corpses arent at the same spot for them as they are for you, etc.
it would cause more problems than it would add atmosphere to the game, i guess.

This was discussed quite awhile back (maybe even before the game was out). In a real war, where wounded were dragged to safety by squad mates this would work fine (also would improve teamwork) but as it is the body counts are so high with the freeking suicidal soldiers we have in ROO that preformance would go to **** in seconds.

fear of death = fear of FPS drop
could also simmulate the personal feelings of not wanting to kill another man lol :p

HOGWASH!!! it would turn RO it more of a sniper duel...if that happens they should rename it to Enemy at the Gates THE GAME!!! of course this could be avoided and have the dead staying there by simply making the dead turn into the enviroment...but just think of all that planning and remaking of the maps!!! noone wants a patch the size of Russia just for that feature! just think of the young ones
