Firefox 2.0 is Out

The layout is a little different. I can't really tell much of a difference other than that. It's faster than IE7, has a much smaller download (5.6 vs >14), and installs in 1/10 the time IE7 without having to restart your computer.

Sounds like the security has been upgraded quite a bit, assuming it works as intended, i'll definately have to give it a go.

Upgraded 2 days ago. Overall I'm happy but I wish I could set the tabs to work the old way with 1 close "x" on the far right.

Well, I just abandoned firefox.
I came to the conclusion that the browser named Konqueror works way better then firefox when running a linux distribution named Kubuntu

Well anti phishing is cool but by far the best feature is the spell checker which for some reason doesnt work on this forum but is useful for the retarded like me

Switch the editor mode or right click on the editor box and tell it to spell check. FF 2.0 is superb.

If your not in the US you'll have to dl the correct dictionary for your country.
I also noticed today that it has 4 bits of default spyware built in (probably were in the earlier versions too).
The best way to prevent these pro-actively is to enhance your hosts file. It's easily done and will prevent a whole other ton of other malware from ever getting onto your PC which beats getting it and having to regularly remove it.
Here's some instructions on what your hosts file actually is and how to enhance it to prevent loads of spyware.

P.S. Overall I like FF2 but I dont like the new way of closing tabs, I much preferred the single button on the right instead of one on each tab.

I will try it when some of these annoying known issues are fixed. Also, is there a option to change the tabs back to the way they were or a theme to download that only changes the tabs?

This is why Firefox kicks every other browsers ass, because you can make it fit your needs, no matter what, either they have it in about:config, or there's an extension for it.
And it cant be said too often:
FireFox
+Adblock Plus
+Filterset.G updater
=No Ads on the entire internet. NONE. not a banner, not a flash, NOTHING. No content lost in 1+ year of using this.
