Squad Looking For German Clan

Hello,

I just bought this excellent game today. I am very happy with it, and I have had a moderately successful time playing it for the past three and a half hours. I find I excel when I use the Mauser 98K... It just "works" with me. Except on that Krasny-something map when SMG's are mandatory, it is a fun weapon to use. On the rare instances when I am able to use the semi-automatic rifle, I like that one too I suppose.

However, I don't know anyone, and I would like to get situated with a German clan on here. I am looking for a serious clan that makes me feel valued by my team mates, not some random structureless "noob-pwnzrz" clan. It would be preferable for this clan to be based in the United States.

Thank you all for your replies. I am looking between the 2nd and 5th SS Panzer. I'll wait to look around the 2nd's website/forum when they are up before I make a decision. The 5th looks like a very nice group of people. And I am happy about their "do not support racism" tag; I'm Jewish so I wouldn't like to be supporting a neo-nazi unit.

The 2nd SS has a Truppenfuhrer who is Jewish. We are completly non-political and tolerate absolutly no Nazist, racist BS in our forums or servers.

By the way Scharnhorst, that is my favorite battleship of WW2. I have an entire book on the life of it. Dont know if you ment the person our the ship, but never the less.

I took the name of the WWII Battlecruiser. My great uncle served on the Prinz Eugen (not-Jewish side), but nobody would know how to pronounce that correctly, so I took Scharnhorst, my next favorite ship in the Kriegsmarine. Gneisenau would also be pretty hard for other people to say.

And I just played on a 5th SS server. I was riding shotgun (3rd position) in a tank since I didn't really know how to work the turret. And then someone starts yapping about how I teamkilled them for blowing out the back of their tiger, even though it didn't list my name as killing them, and I wasn't in a turret, and I didn't fire. Wasn't a very fun experience. And then later in the game some guy shoots me with an Mp40 so I kill him, and then he kills me when he comes back, and that continued back and forth until I got kicked. Wasn't very fun.

I had a lot of fun on the 9th SS's server though.

I haven't seen a 2nd SS server anywhere though. When is it typically up? I'll check out the website when I can, I have to go now.

Alright, I'm interested in enlistment into the 2nd SS. Where do I apply? Should I write a short auto-biography of myself and what I prefer doing in combat and what tactics suit me? I also want to know if I should join the forum before being a member or not.

I may be American, but I can pronounce Prinz Eugen and Gneisenau quite well.
Those three were quite the trio in the dash through the English Channel. One of my favorite Kreigsmarine stories. Although I must say, I think the Eugen is cursed. Every ship it has escorted met a demise not long after the Eugen breaking off escort duties. IE Bismarck, Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. There might have been another one, but im not to sure.

... Wasn't the Gneisenau scrapped to make panzers? And I think the Eugen was the only ship larger than a DD to survive from being in the Kriegsmarine. It was later used in nuclear bomb testing by the United States, which it withstood 2 atomic bombs, and was still floating. So it can't be THAT unlucky.

hmm. that's weird scharn. sorry, we dislike guys like that on our server. we try to keep it clean. sorry that we lost u to the 2.SS, they a good bunch of guys. but would have been great if u were with us, and come on TS, have guys on almost all the time. hope u find what you're looking for and see u on the battlefield.
