New rifles for the axis

I mean comon, the russians have 3, the germans have 1. Iam talking about bolt action ofcourse, what other rifles could they give the germans, and also do you guys think they will add in earlier versions of the semi auto gewehr, to compete with that damn soviet 40?

The German standard rifle was the Mauser 98k. They did however press some others into service, like the Polish Wz.29 which is a shortened version of the Mauser 98 but not in large numbers. Not large enough to put in the game.

And even then, all of the Soviet bolt-actions are related, i.e., they aren't totally separate designs. It might be nice to have the Gewehr 41, but historical evidence says it was a piece of junk.

The Germans do not need more rifles. What they have now is sufficient.

We have two maps with Gebirgsjagers and none with Fallschirmjagers. Besides externally the differences between the G-33/40 and Kar98 aren't massive.

"Not to be confused with the later Karabiner 98 Kurz, the K98a was a shorter version of the Gewehr 98 originally made for cavalry and support unit use. It can be identified by its shorter barrel length, tapered rather than stepped barrel contour, its turned-down bolt handle and excavation in the stock in the same fashion as sniper G98s, and an L-shaped stacking rod attached to the stock near the muzzle.
The K98a was issued to cavalry, and also to mountain troops, and later to "established" assault units. It was liked because it was lighter and less bulky, and was ideal for use in trench assaults."

Problem there is, well, RO doesn't model shitty guns very well. No jamming, no off-aimed guns, etc.
