Pistols Only !

Train Escape I believe is the name of the map. At first I thought only pistols this sucks. After playing for a while I realized this is kinda forcing me to be a better player. Great concept. Not only must I learn to use my sidearm better but there are no objectives. We must keep our reinforcements at a maximun and outlast the enemy which also forces you to be more cautious or tactical.

Have you played it yet? Did you like/dislike the map? Do you use your sidearm on other maps? Which pistol do you prefer?

Great map and so fun to play pistols only. Too bad that i saw it only on few servers.

There's another called Entweichen like that -- supposed to be a prison escape. Definitely not good for any realism, but it's short and great for a fun break between other maps.

It's ok for a short interlude. But I found it boring after a few minutes.
I'm a tank fan really, so I do have to use the pistol more than most.

If everyone (or at least the escapees) was only given 1 or 2 clips of ammo, it would be MUCH better.

The map works best with a LOT of people. Both sides have 60 reinforcements. If there's only 4 or 5 per side, it can sometimes drag a little since the objective is to simply wear the enemy down through attrition. But if you've got 10v10 or 16v16, it's CRAZY.

I agree WickedPenquin, when I played the server was 2 men short of full so I could see this dragging with fewer players. I also looked at it as a "little break in between" and probably more suited for those who like to play infantry. Maybe someone will come up with a "Tank Break" if you will. For those of you who like tanks!
That been said, it's nice to see people thinking outside the box.

I loved the prison map. At first I thought it was a mistake, and some test level was loaded by accident. Once I found out what was up though, good little five-minute interlude. I'll have to look for this train one

As if! That's what made it so much fun! There is nothing more skilled than snipering someone in midair, across the map, whilst you're in midair too! Great fun.

I think some new folks will see Pakfight load up and just flip out when the game start. You are being deployed.....to outer space .....

I think Pak fight would be alot harder with the retail version of paks. The mod paks where just downright fun to use at long range.
