Leningrad and Moscow maps?

For the future, will these maps be considered? There were battles fought in these regions as you well may know.

Leningrad was only attacked with artillary and air stikes from bombers. Moscow was never attacked, maybe with a V2 or somthing but nothing major. As much as i would like to see these maps, they fall short of the realism theme of this game. Know what im saying?

Even if they where not invaded and ocupied it would be cool with maps fighting in the streets, or outskirts of the cities

jea they where stoped somewhat about 30km before moscow.

Leningrad was more or less a siege being sieges from german side, but there many fortifications, bunkers, trenches and who knows what other constructions around leningrad that left much room for heavy battles. And wasnt there the first archived fight where from the use of a tiger in battle near leningrad in around december 1942 ? coud swear to have read that some time.

Yes, Tigers were used first on the Leningrad front. A nice dense forest/marsh map would be great, but I'm not sure the current engine is up to the task.

Yeah I think it would pretty cool to defend/assault the Kremlin on a Moscow map. You could go inside and defend the Kremlin to the very last man instead of just defending its approach like Konigplatz's Reichstag.

You are right, they reached the OUTSKIRTS. Last i checked thats not the city. Same could be said about Leningrad, the Germans surrounded the OUTSKIRTS, but never fought inside the city. Not trying to be an ass or anything, but fighting in a suburb, isnt the same as big city fighting.

I don't see how that is reason not to create such a map ...

Well, there are hundreds of other interesting cities and towns that were actual fought in during the war, but hey, whatever gets your rocks off.

jea actually a "historical" swampy wooden leningrad map with the Tiger again small T34/76 woud be neat! So infantry to destroy tanks woud become realy important there. And im sure theres a lot of cover in the woods for infantry.

And it can be done by the engine, if done the right way (Ro Intahla someone ? )
