Pfffft... 5.1 headsets for teh win... and at the same price.

Oh I thought that the rumble feature was unique . Don`t care for crystal clear sound, this headset shakes ,Simulating the subWoofer effect of feeling vibrations at Hz you can`t hear .
I think it works realy well and add to the imersion.

Be adviced to not have the rumble switched on during map loading , the sound comes a unpleasent suprice with a kick that makes you wet your pants.

i wouldnt even touch them since they dont even support the full range! let alone a flat frequency response.
"Frequency Response: 30-16,000 Hz"

Could you tell me what you think of these? I just bought 'em...

http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/gaming/products/pro1/index.jhtml

Frequency response: 20Hz-20KHz.

The datasheet's at the bottom of that page in PDF....

I like the Planties... I just bought the GameCom Pro 1 set to replace a Audio 90 model because the mic died after about 3 years (physically, they're pretty much the same....). They're comfy. When I was on disability, I had a few 12 hour or so marathon shoot-em-up sessions.

Here's a link to the Audio 90... if someone wants a cheap but good headset, I'd buy another if I hadn't been lured in by the USB feature.

..5.1 HEADSET?

Isn't that an oxymoron? You only have two speakers to work with!

Nah, they actually have 8 small speakers in them: 2 centers (as you need two to make the sound appear to be central), the 4 sattelites, and 2 subwoofers.

But I recommend against buying one with USB connection, that all have their own small, not very capable "soundcard" in them. Rather buy one with the ordinary chinch connectors which go directly into your soundcard.
