Uh, cool, something new *wetting pants* :)

A clean crash to desktop after freeze, if you wanna call it that. After I had the error message copied from that little grey window, the one with "submit bug report" and stuff at the bottom and was ready to post, i got a BSOD with FAT_FILE_SYSTEM bs...yeah..right. Anyway, here goes:

Ok, first I tried running in D3d instead of d3d9.0
Still crashed.

Next I tried the latest nVidia driver
Still crashed.

Both times I was unable to exit the game other than a hard reboot.

Try something, will ya...

Uncheck "Full Screen" in Display Config of game. I just ran the game in windowed mode and it did not freeze up, also the sniper scopes worked 70% (other 30% = no houses, only trees and stuff showing, screenshots later) My screenshots are also normal again, all from playing in windowed mode....

...weirdness? Or what?

I don't want to create havoc or cause confusion, but two things I've seen cause problems. While the log files are being examined.....


1) I had looping sound and frozen screen on one occasion. My sound setting somehow got set to HD3D? (not sure of the exact term). I changed it to 3D and all has been fine since.

2) Upon a patch update, some A/V's and/or firewalls don't take kindly to the change. (I think this is really a seperate problem than what most are describing here.) Removing the game from the programs "permissions" (for lack of a better term) and then adding it back may help.

Can't find any logs. I have to restart my computer with a hard boot so Orchestra doesn't even seem to get a chance to make such a log.
My problem was fixed by switching from D3Dx9 to normal D3D. It didn't happen anymore afterwards.
Still pretty ( not terribly) annoying considering the fact that I only saw that happen in early CoD UO versions and now in RO.

OK. I think I have found my problem. Teamspeak is somehow conflicting with Red Orchestra. As long as I run RO without TS, its fine, I can play as long as I want. If I start up TS, it locks up soon afterward. I don't know if the rest of you with similar problems are running TS as well, but it seems to be the root of my problem.

I remembered that some time back when I tried SWAT 4, I had a similar problem there. It would lock up the same way as well when running TS with it.


Any ideas how to make the two behave well together?
