Is it me or did the tank in that video NOT make a clanking noise with the tracks? All I could hear was the engine, even when it was advancing slowly.

I agree. If there is a tank approaching you from behind, you should hear and feel the vibrations long before its crushing your spine.

Yes I AM SERIOUS! I turned it up to max on my speakers and heard 2 or 3 clanks when the tank was on the ramp. Most likely because the ramp was metal and "gave" a little from the weight. Otherwise nothing. Not only that, the engine was the loudest thing, FAR OUTWEIGHING any clanking noise which, I reiterate, only came from the ramp.

I have to say that Panther video wasn't a very good example. So I'll post something that is. This is a video recorded by one of the posters on the Forgotten Hope forums, at the tankfest in Bovington. Last running tiger tank in the world might I add. You'll note how damn loud the tracks are, even when it's running very slowly.

Very nice example, I love how that Tiger sounds so much different depending
on how far and from what angle you are at from it. That would be sweet to
have in RO.

Anybody notice the bulletholes and dents on that Tiger's flank lol???

The video is let down a bit by the unhealthy sound of the engine (hard to miss all those misfires). But you can't be picky when it's something so unique.

The video in the link is the same..But it is not complete..when it gets to the heavy tread noise on stone it ends..which is a shame cause it sounds Awesome. Maybe someone can find better complete source of the Video?

For me the silent tanks is the priority 1 problem. Too often I was killed suddenly by a vehicle which crushed me from behind or I run suddenly into one.
