UK Postcode when purchasing

I had a similiar problem, I tried several times and finally e-mailed steam support. They informed me that my postal code was wrong, It turned out that I had been typing it with a -. The charge went through without using a -... They seem to require all the information to be EXACT.

i live in the uk and i've never had problems, i've purchased 3 or 4 things over steam and i just put the details i have almost exactly the same as on amazon or ebay. if you have problems contact em, they're no scam artists, just a game developer.

ive never had a problem with steam, i have purchased multiple titles over it and always been delighted with the result.
i have never had a problem entering card details either, all you need to do is follow the on-screen instructions to the letter

Ha, blame Steam cause you didn't type it right. Classic. Regardless, they have all kinds of ways to contact support, and I think someone mentioned before there is X amount of hours before you can try again.

not wanting to be cheeky. but as valac says guys, blame steam cause u cant type. i.e sober up or get someone who is sober to put in your details. check the questions before you answer them also helps ...

No that is not the case. There is a problem here and it's not people being unable to enter their details correctly. You didn't have any problems but that doesn't mean others are not.

I entered all the details exactly as requested but for some reason their system didn't like it.

I made contact with Steam and my bank and informed them that something was wrong. Both were quick in their response and everything is fine now.

In my experience, having it all stuck together worked. When I had it separated, my cc got denied.

omg now it still wont let me says only 5 attempts are allowed so if it is because of the dodgy typing i got 5 goes at it and steam still wont accept

Why don't you ring Steam and ask them if you can purchase it over the phone rather than typing your details in?

lol yes i spoke to them in a gentlemenly fashion. In the time i last posted i have used my 3rd card 3rd time lucky and it worked 1st time

Shame preloading isnt downloading at my full 2meg speed i hope its done before 7gmt How long roughly did it take every1 else on 2meg to download?

I just put my post code as ex.765874 no spaces. And my download speed is 6kbps wooo ! 1.4% in 20 minutes o god im guna die.

I should be getting over 200kbps but i've had this firewall problem even though there's no firewall on it thinks there is and I get crap speed. So annoyed.
