My motherboard just broke, so I put my old HD and video card into a new PC, but the internet won't work, it says I don't have a driver for the ethernet controller I tried downloading some from my other PC, but it won't work.
Wait a second, I'll be right over, screwing your computer open to check what hardware you even have. I can tell you what driver you need right along then. Have a beer or two ready, I'm just going to finish up this **** here. See you in a couple of minutes!
I assume you also have an operating system and I assume you can tell us which one?I have an mis motherboard v-class, with a built in ethernet card.
Almost there now. What else does it say where you found "MS 7592"? Any mention of G41M-something?
And Windows XP 32bit or 64bit?
Ok, that's the version of the BIOS. Don't need that. I need a more specific model designation of the motherboard.
Look for G41 and tell me what it says right behind that. Or post a photo of the front of the box, if you still have it.
I don't have a box (its custom made) can I find it on the motherboard itself?
Go have a look on MSI's web site at all the different models - they'll have pictures, I'm sure - and then find the one that looks like yours.
Or not. Because Murphy is being very entertaining.
Luckily enough none of the pictures are showing up on their website.
Simple but to the point and containing every bit of information we require to solve this sub-problem! I LOVE IT!Luckily enough none of the pictures are showing up on their website.
