Awesome book! Still feels like it is writen while using a lot of drugs
You should also read "Snowcrash" by Neal Stephenson and "Zodiac" by the same author.
Grab "The Diamond Age" while you are at it.
Snowcrash is a cyberpunk novel, about a hacker and a pizza delivery girl.
And Zodiac is novel about an environmental activist with a style opposite to Greenpeace, namely Greenwar.

Far-out conspiracy theory stuff, absolutely not to be taken seriously but a lot of fun and you will be like
2nd Vote.. if you haven't read that, I recommend it.. at least sometime. Keep in mind it's a bit dated though. I also recommend the other books by Robert Anton Wilson (like 'The Schrodinger's Cat trilogy'). They are silly sorta of conspiracy books, but there are some serious depth to them if you want to look at it that way.
