I recon my British short hair 'bungle' has potential to be a famous cat if i start filming him.

He's fat enough to make ppl laugh when they see him, and he's got a cute face like butter wouldn't melt but he's a viscious bruiser who's a fast, acrobatic and successful bird hunter.
Kinda like the Samo Hung of the cat world.

Not sure if it was official, but Clinton's cat must have been the most famous one before it died? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socks_%28cat%29

Also, wiki is lacking "Pavlov's cat" under "thought experiment cats" =).

I completely forget about Hodge, Dr Johnson's Cat who liked his Oysters. His statue can be found in a small courtyard off Fleet Street outside Dr Johnson's house.

He has my vote as not many cats have their own statue and I used to walk past him almost daily
