I disagree. I've played RO2 myself. It plays nothing like FPS out there.

I wasn't talking about jet games, but jets being a feature of BF3 which is probably a plus in the eyes of the average gamer(and well, it should be a plus in pretty much everyones' eyes).Which is why there are so many arcadey jet games, right? Since 2006, we've had Over G Fighters, Ace Combat 6, HAWX 1 and 2. Four games is really a lot!
The people who play RO are very often not interested in BF3/CoD. BF3 is less irrelevant than you think. People are willing to buy games that are near exact clones of each other at $60 every year. If RO2 appeals enough to the mainstream, BF3 won't matter much.
If i get BF3 im afiard i wont take much notice of RO2 untill i get bored of BF3 which is very hard for me because i love that games series.
That's what i am saying they need to do a good release date !.
Or just release it next year.
Some people can really only play one FPS at a time? I mean, I understand competitively but c'mon!
Most of RO players do not care about BF3.

I play several at a time.
I'll be picking up BF3, HoS, and hopefully.. Planetside "Next".

I actually personally have enormous hatred for DICE, so I will never buy any of their games. The reason for the hate is because they have deliberately ignored the WW2 fans of whom have cried and pleaded for YEARS for a remake of BF1942. DICE has done nothing but spit in their faces along with a sorry half-*** attempt with USA/JAPAN only cheap download game in BF1943 with only a couple of maps.
Nope. DICE has ignored us WW2 fans and have spit in our faces.
Red Orchestra 2 is a saviour.
