If any of you saw the new Russian interview video; it showed that you were able to move about the tank, look through different view points by looking at it and using an action key.

Now to the point. Since they took out tank bailing, what if they added an action for the commander to look at a mp40/ppsh and press the action key which would allow you to unhatch with the weapon and use it to fend off infantry that would normally dodge your turret traverse.

This would also give the infantry a chance to kill the commander and thus handicap the tanks combat effectiveness.

Are we back on tank bailing again?

Think of having to bail as being combat ineffective with respect to your class as a tanker. Kind of like not having a medic for your tank. There are no medics per se in the game because (presumably) an infantryman wounded badly enough to have require a medic is "combat ineffective" as infantry and therefore dies and respawns. If your tank is inoperable, you scuttle it and respawn with a new one or wait until the enemy finishes you off.

I really don't see what the fuss is about....

[rhetorical questions follow]
If you bail, you want to spend 10 minutes trying to get back to the spawn area to get a new tank? Or do you really think your bodily presence on the battlefield with a weapon is more valuable than your tank's presence? If it is, why bother taking the tank class?
[/end of rhetorical questions]

What's puny about a pistol, its a gun like any gun, if you get shot you will feel it.

Pistols are potent.

Figure of speech, illustrating the ridiculousness of tank bailing.

If a tanks gets hit sure the crew bail out, do you think they stay in and wait to get killed or burned alive? The Panzer IV has 2 or 3 emergency exits I think...

You can still 'bail' in a way, just scuttle the tank and you'll respawn in a new tank.

Tank bailing has been discussed to death already, so let's leave it at that.
