Imagine if support specialists could buy different type of ammo (9mm, 12 gauge or bolt for xbows) It would maybe take 1 weight for each ammobox you're carrying and I'm thinking each ammo box gives you the triple amount of ammo a normally spawned ammobox would give you? It would be good when you and your teammates are holding inside a house or just camping in a small corner..

I am pretty sure I've seen this suggestion more than 1 time before. And there must be a reason that one isn't kept up in discussion. Probably the reason is Support Specialist is OP already without the ammo boxes

On a serious note, there is plenty of ammo in Killing Floor, and it plays an intrinsic part in the balance of the game. Add more ammunition and instantly the AA12, M14 and LAW become overpowered.
Plus this reminds me of Battlefield 2... (Not BFBC2 cause that rocked) the less to remind me of that game the better

Its a fair point that has been brought up before. His name is a little misleading...
I might say however he does support his team. Shotguns are notoriously bad at long range, while retaining alot of close range power. The Support specialist supports his team but eliminating threats that get close when the log range boys can't get the job done.
But of course his main area of support is welding and maintaining doors

Sure he does. Shotguns are ideal for clearing groups of specimens IE ones that have a player surrounded and unable to move. The Support merely unloads a few shells into the group and the player is freed. Instant support. Grenades work in this fashion too.MM I just kinda feel support doesn't really "support" players

I love support and I don't like the idea of ammo boxes, an abundance of ammo would make the game less challenging if we had almost unlimited ammo. If anything support could use nothing. It is perfect as is.

A: pick up the ammo boxes off the ground and they would take inventory space
B: buy each and every ammo box from the store ( other then picked up ones )
C: there was a time delay before the support could pick up his own ammo box.

I like this idea. I don't want him to drop a lot of ammo but Support irl doesn't just weld ****.
