For those with performance issues

I'd like for each of you to try something, if you have not already. In the video settings, on the bottom right, you'll see an option checkmarked for 'framerate smoothing'. Uncheck that and let me know if performance is better for you. You may need to set your graphic quality to 'custom' to be able to uncheck the framerate smoothing option.

I will be compiling data for our engineers, based on your feedback.

Thanks!

Sorry can't get the images clearer.

Ok I ran a multitude of tests for this as there are always questions about framesmoothing in the other games.

Well it does work as intended in the menu switching it on with default Min 52 and Max 62 does cap my frames at 62 as expected and switching off raises the frames.

On: 62fps

Off: 93fps

Now when settings the rate to say 999 there is no real difference with it on or off with my rig, but with it on i can tell there is a slight mouse lag or maybe its placebo, I normally have it on with capped frames at 74 for my current monitor has max 75hz. It's an old 1080 21:9 LG monitor soon to be upgraded to 1440p 21:9 as i now have a GTX1080@stock, 5930k@stock, 16gb running on HDD. All settings maxed with MLAA and SSOA on.

bSmoothFrameRate=True
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=999.000000
MinSmoothedFrameRate=999.000000

Tested a Hill939 server with 64 players dipping sometimes to 90's then up to 150's.
On: 150fps

Off: 153fps

Now I normally turn off OneFrameThreadLag always to make sure i have a smooth mouse as i can normally afford the frame drop in KF2 and RO2, performance was between about 50fps to 85fps.
On: 83fps

Off: 80fps

Huecity is fairly bad with the frame spikes all over the place, i can get to as low as 50's with framesmoothing on capped at 74. I think we should be advising main system specs and to go with this.

I have to say i've not used a monitor less that 75hz since before RO2 so for the medium to high end gamer, i think it's a fairly useless feature and alot of us would be turning it off or using it to just cap at a much higher frame rate via the config file.
