Level Design Problem opening SDK

Hi all just wondering if anyone else is having issues with the sdk,keep getting this when its starts?????:mad: anyone know a fix for it?:confused:

I have the same problem, since the last big update the RO editor has been broken and mine also displays the above message.

One work around that I have found is to use an old verison of RO/DH, which I just happened to have on file, that predates the recent update. Though even with that work around working some of the maps I make and mod are no longer usable, the run on the server however the players cannot enter them. I have started a fresh thread on the broken editor problem.

So to get the editor working the only fix I know of is to use an old version of RO editor that is not connected to the Steam one and then hope that when you have baked your map it then still works on the server afterwards.

I have spent hours modding new maps only to find that they do not work afterwards, have now pretty much given up modding maps now for RO and DH because of this problem, it was hard enough before with the constant crashing and bugs however now after having fought throungh all of that and have the map not work on the server is too much.

On top of that just lately it seems that most redirect service providers no longer provide support for uz2 redirect files which leads to really slow and hesistant fast down loads for the game servers.

Slowly due to technical difficulties in almost all areas of editing and running a server the game is fading away, which from a tanking point of view is a real loss as there is no other game that can offer such a great tanking experience with such a broad spectrum of tanks.

I have an old version of RO with editor that predates the recent changes and this one still works, so there is some change made in the latest Steam version of the RO editor that has made it no longer work.

Hello,

More info on this problem, when the editor starts it writes a log file called Editor.txt in the System folder. Here it logs its progress and any problems it has.

Mine is a stock standard steam installation which crashes on startup as per the above error messages in past posts.

This is the content of the log file, at the bottom is info about the crash, I hope this helps solve the problem and get the editor working again.
