RS Rising Storm Release Date: May 30, 2013

Cool, exact same crap that happened with RO2.

Tripwire just trying to cash in as fast as possible.

I am pessimistic as hell.

Still waiting on "free content pack not long after launch that includes 2 tanks and 2 transports" for Ro2 almost 2 years later.

Thats the spirit! Well it is the spirit if you are a fan of Dev bandwidth going to KF2 (or other projects) development almost exclusively.

Will we need to delete anything or will the updated game take care of all that for us? ie, delete the beta?

I'm looking forward to all of the improvements that will hopefully shift over to RO2 HoS with the release...especially little niggling annoyances like the inability to select a spawn when a class is picked (Thank god that was fixed!)

Yes you can delete the beta trooper, on an early page yoshi said rs would d/l as a big update for ro2.

Cant wait to play both side by side.

Tripwire and the Rising Storm team did a great job with this one. I could see this possibly taking over as the "main game"

The splash screen and all the UI is being replaced with the Rising Storm stuff.

While I agree it could be polished some more, it's in FAR, FAR better shape than HOS on release. There's really no game breakers IMO and I look forward to integration into HOS.

As a Steam noob, any advice as to how to dump all unnecessary files when it releases? Like the entire Beta etc?

In your steam games list right click "Rising Storm Beta" ->delete local content

Manually delete the following folders if exist:
[Your steam folder]\steamapps\common\Rising Storm Beta
[OS drive\Your Documents folder]\My Games\Rising Storm Beta\

If you own RO 2, yes. But the 15% pre-order discount will drop away.

I'm proud that they are releasing this so soon. But I really hope some of the minor animation problems such as the 1911 slide being pulled fully to the rear on empty as well as the proper reload of the M1 Garand mid clip reload are fixed up.
