Reopening the Red Orchestra 2 Beta

A few of us Thriller Knights got in tonight. It was ok fun, but we'll see what's what when RO Classic comes out.

The new map is good, but it might wind up being a snipe fest as people get to know it better. It's winnable, but you have to really use the cover that's there. That's a good thing though. There are camping spots for the snipers, but they are not so elevated like on Fallen Fighters that it's pointless to get into the caps. Overall I really liked that new map.

And I especially enjoyed knocking Ramm's head off his shoulders one more time.

Beta is AWESOME (aside from having to join through steam)

--Mamayev is beautiful, and she has GREAT personality. If she weren't such an ice princess I'd marry her. (;) see what I did there?

--Longer bandaging is great--it just needs to be complemented by longer bleeding-out times.
--Sounds seem much better. I can hear others' footsteps, more death moans... and is that a native voice option I spy in the audo options? (doesn't work at all yet atm, but fingers are crossed)
--telling you who's on what team at the Team Selection page: great improvement.
--Lockdown is MUCH improved.
--I notice the Mosin-Nagant now loses the chambered round on a partial reload. :IS2:
--The magnified suppression works really, really well now... except that the Mkb is now even deadlier. Good thing we won't see it much in Classic.

************

--putting enemy weapons at the bottom of the loadout menus is much welcomed. Haven't seen it in person yet. Know I'll love it.
--Haven't noticed slower movement after getting hit in the legs yet either... but I know I'll love it
