Box Art - and System Specs

TodaysKiller, I think if you have a quad, it should run alright on low to medium. So no rush.

Intel is more expensive but will give you the best performance.
I recommend an I5 with a decent motherboard.

209$ Highest performing cpu for the $ an AMD Killer.
But you need

And then you need DDR3 Ram 1600 recommended.

The 9800GT if a good enough card and will work quite well. You can wait an extra 6 month before dropping a new GPU

Install CPUZ (google it) and post your motherboard.
If it's an AM2+ there are chances you can just drop in a Phenom X4 955

This would be a big money saver so you can concentrate on your 560Ti

120$ One of the best bang for your buck.

If the motherboard doesn't cut it, this will save you new ram costs.

The money saved on these 2 make a full system upgrade with videocard.

All depends on budget.

Also AMD will release a new chip soon so it's worth the wait because if it performs well, Intel will lower Sandy Bridge (1155 socket) CPU prices.

Thanks to all of those for replying to my post!

I'm just going to quote your Post, so my message isn't all clunky.

Since Yoshiro Said it's highly based on GPU, I'm thinking of just getting a new GPU...Like the 560 TI (Or has someone else found a cheaper, but faster card under $250)?

Since you said that AMD is coming out with new chips soon, I'll wait on the CPU...and see if I can't get a one on a cheaper price...I'm mainly looking to run on Medium settings, so If I buy the 560 TI (or another)...and just keep my quad 2.2 GHZ AMD Phenom...and be able to run the game flawlessly on medium, I'll be a happy camper... (If medium settings look nice, I don't need to run the game on Ultra...Smooth, decent looking gameplay is all I need).

I know you said my 9800GT was a good enough card to run this game, Which I've had no problem with my 9800 thus far, but I'm thinking...with all these other games I'm wanting besides RO2 in the future...I'll need a better GPU at least, to have above 50 FPS running medium settings.

I'll keep in mind about the Intel Mobo, and the i5 processor (or that AMD one)...that AMD one for 120 bucks or w/e was a nice deal, or looked like it to me.

What motherboard are you using ? You might just be able to slap in the Phenom 955 (X4 3.2Ghz)

That cpu + the Ti560 will have you set for at least a year.

Also you can't go wrong with the Ti560...
I got the 260GTX and it's still running everything flawlessly on high graphics. the Ti560 is easily twice as fast.

It's quite impressive how a few years ago, we had to upgrade every 6 months for crazy money... Now, software has such a hard time catching up.

Well, I bought this GateWay Computer a while back, and it was good enough to play Games on (this is like 4-5 years ago)...so I just updated everything in this computer...except the Mobo :D...But here's what I have.

Board: Gateway RS780 Rev 1.0
Serial Number: ULVE82402501
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 7B3P081G 05/05/2008

It has an AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.2 GHZ Processor already on it... So I'm pretty sure it could fit another one.

And yeah, it is sad how fast you need to upgrade your computer to stay up with newer games...(Although, if you just like running on medium settings like I do, My 9800 GT has managed Well over 4 years)...So I'm sure I can get 4+ Years out of the TI560...Well, I'm hoping :)

Thanks for the help btw... :)

You don't really need a sound card. They've improved the tech of on-board sound cards, so they aren't as bad as they were a few years ago.

Think of it as a luxury item, than a necessity.

If you want to access RO2's audio on highest settings you need a separate sound card.

Im looking at a big upgrade New Mobo gpu cpu ram etc
I have no idea what I should get Im thinking fastest quad I can afford & preferring AMD
& nvidia with a mobo that will take bulldozer later ,...
Do I really need a soundcard?

If you get an AMD CPU, better get an AMD video card with it.

Graphics Cards

Graphics Cards

Would anyone care to explain to me which card is better? and why?...(I need someones expert advice as to which card is the best, since all of them are only $50 more or less from each other, price wise).

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130664 (One I was looking at getting until i saw these others...It's 40 bucks cheaper)

(What does 560 TI (Fermi) mean? Compared to the first one which is only a 560 (Fermi)?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130662 (A whopping 2GB Memory)? This one looked like the best deal, but the 2nd one had higher Shader Memory, and Core Clock...Should I get this one since it has 1G.B. More Memory in it? and the same price as the 2nd one?

Thanks

i'm not too sure about your other questions
but i know that you should go with TI

TI is like... them taking another look at what they made back in the day, and putting some spins on it for better performance

Would provide a source if I could find it.. but I read up on it recently since I'm also looking for a new rig

Difference is one has stock clocks, and the more expensive has higher clocks, and third has more ram memory which you can only bennefit if you run 3 monitor setup.
