I thought we should get up some tutorials how learn using the SDK here. So we can get some new modders and mappers :D

First you should know that the RO2 SDK uses Unreal Engine 3 (UE3) with some modifications. The unreal engine has a unreal development kit (UDK) which was made for independent developers.
You can learn how to use the UE3 by using the UDK which is very very alike to the UE3.

There are loads of guides out there, but the one I recommend is the vidoes made by 3D Buzz. They have the vidoes on their site using youtube, you have to register to use the site. (No spam or anything.)
The vidoes go abit slow, so if you like to go right into action you can start with the "making simple level" right away. But you will miss out on some stuff.

Or you can download all the vidioes from the official unreal site here:

As you look through the vidoes you I reccomend having the UDK or the RO2 SDK up. So you can try the things that are explained.
I would just note that some of the stuff in the vidoes may not be up to date, but roughly 95% is.

VCTF- sandstorm and Sanctuary which is heavly used in the vidoes, does not come with the newest versions of UDK, they can be found in the 2010-10 version if I remember correctly.

Here is a big guide for using the UT3, can be good if you learn better by reading rather than watching. http://www.icecreamyou.com/ut3
