Level Design SDK is finally relased!

game is currently unavailible -.-

No offense, are you completely oblivious to everything that was said on the first page?

Its like people just sort of glazed over it

Its not working yet. Either your game cache is incomplete (ergo you get "Game is Unavailable") or the executable and files themselves are missing or incomplete.

whats SDK...
SDK

A software development kit (SDK or "devkit") is typically a set of development tools that allows for the creation of applications for a certain software package, software framework, hardware platform, computer system, video game console, operating system, or similar platform.

The RO2 editor's available for download but isn't opening through Steam. A popup command prompt warning signals an error in accessing the batch file or something.

You can still open the editor manually via the Steam > steamapps > common > red orchestra 2 > ROEditor(.bat file)

Bypass any warnings or logons and the editor will spring to life.

Do svidanya and auf wiedersen MKb42, AVT40, MP40/II, MG34 saddle drum, PPSH stick mag and hordes of automatic weapons :D
And obviously, LOCKDOWN.

Yes because it was SO much fun in RO1 to be stuck defending an objective for 15-60 minutes ;) It's so much better to be bored for a very long time attacking an objective when the teams are stacked, or defending an objective forever when the attacking team can't get momentum. Those were the days...

Well, if only it worked the way it should, but right now for the attacking team lockdown's a bigger enemy than the enemy team itself. It's stopped many good teams from winning Red October and Commissar's House because they were being tactical while going for objectives instead of charging recklessly. It doesn't give enought time for the team to give enough support before advancing in those maps.

The idea is good, but lockdown would only work properly if it were activated when the attacking team is very low on reinforcements and haven't capped the first objective. It's not much of a problem for 32 or less player servers, but for 64 it's a nightmare for the attacking team, and that's what almost every pubber would tell you. Spartanovka seems to be an exception.

Another thing that makes lockdown even worse is when the defenders manage to retake lost ground (especially in CH and ROF), causing the lockdown timer to return to its previous state and almost instant defeat for the attackers. Stalingrad was marked by buildings and places changing hands several times a day, and it was really fun in RO1 when a team would take, lose and retake their lost ground, making battles even less linear and epic (like StalingradKessel and Krasnyi Oktyabr). You can't deny that the lockdown feature was badly receive by the community, and if you want to please your customers, you can't keep such thing as it is right now.

Very rare were the moments where I would spend the entire map in the first capzone, and most of the times it'd happen it was in Danzig. And don't forget that RO1 was also your baby :D

But don't get me wrong Ramm, I still love RO2 ;)
