Make sure to give some good reference images to work off of though. I'm not a good judge for what would be appropriate to use as a reference.

Without a proper hi-poly to grab normal maps from, you are probably wasting your time there, I'm afraid.
I do disagree long as there is good unwrap and good texturer with some awesome source texture no problem. After texture drop to ndo2 to produce normal, good enough.
Not a problem. It looks great. Though to be honest, the camo pattern looks a bit lacking in sharpness. Other than that, it's fantastic.
