RS Just wondering why can't you throw the flamethrower

Just saw a documentary on flamethrowers, that says that a full loaded flamethrower would have weight in over 40-50 kg's, the person that is in the video is a flamethrower expert, he says that in battle, after finishing the fuel, you just threw the flamethrower away if you were to be atacked in order to defend yourself. Also he says that realistically it would have been very unstable to reload it on the battlefield without specialized equipment.

So my question is, why, why can't you throw the flamethrower down, I know there is a weight penalty in the game, but why can you make it useful as a feature?

Because the tank is glued to your back. Literally, it's part of the character model.
Removing it when you drop the weapon would require reloading the entire mesh ingame and it'd look really weird.

EDIT: Not that it matters either, that "weight penalty" is literally nonexistent.
Weight only matters in this game is if you try to sprint while carrying 2 fully loaded MG42s at the same time.

All other times your sprint speed is practically the same throughout, that includes with the flamethrower.

Ok, but why can't they put back in the inventory system, as they had it in the beta for Red Orchestra 2. The gameplay isn't so fast phaced you can easily make up an inventory or something to constrict weight. So that it will make more realistic gameplay.

Also I saw when playing a hint from the game that if I want to stop reload I need to press melee while loading. But it is awkward because it starts hitting with the weapon, can't it be easier to make it I don't know as a reversed animation?
