Is that an MP43/44 the front German is holding ?
This weapon was under development early 43', ( the time Stalingrad has ended ) and saw action in early 44'
I hope tripware doesn't use weapons that haven't been developed or fielded yet.
However, if all weapons from 41-45' are used in RO2 then Modders can make scenarios for all of Ostfront 41-45, and not just Stalingrad time frame.

Ok, it appears to be the MKb.42(H) which is a predissor to the MP43/44.
It looks like RO2 will be using these and other rare or uncommon weapons.
I think, however, this will be a bad idea for game play.
