I think the map name was something like "Basovka", I always played that map on german side never on russian, loved the challenge :d
It was sometimes impossible to even capture the first objective, but it never frustrated me somehow, that was the magic of RO1
Yep, Basovka. The first cap where germans required teamwork to get into the trenches was brilliant, well placed arty could kill all Ruskies in good defensive positions and smoke to obscure MG line of fire. Once warfare moved into the trenches the Russian's were usually pushed back quite fast, losing the command bunker very quickly. The station was an ok defensive position, only once or twice did our team win from the station though, if we lost the first cap it got pretty desperate trying not to lose.
