Risen!
I was very disappointed with Gothic 3 (although the environments looked very pretty, I must admit) but with Risen they're definitely back on track.

Lovely world full of fun little details, interesting quests and characters, the new combat mechanics are fun... Can't think of much to complain about.

There are no women in the game, dialogue and animations are retarded, and it's plain boring. That's why nobody outside Germany likes those games.

Well, at least the new pirate-themed Risen does look pretty good so far. Still, until they come on par with Mass Effect/Alpha Protocol in terms of dialogue and character interaction I'm not really interested. No I'm not talking about virtual sex here but character interaction in general. If I don't care about the characters in an RPG then something is wrong. Same with Two Worlds II. Great graphics, interesting combat, but the character presentation was just so bad I couldn't stand it.

I only spent a couple of minutes in Two Worlds (1) and I didn't like what I saw. Everything seemed painfully generic to me so I didn't even try Two Worlds 2.
I agree that RPGs need relateable characters, but I disagree vehemently that Gothic/Risen isn't outstanding in that regard! Gothic 1/2/2x and Risen have great, realistic characters with natural personalities.

Most of the characters in Mass Effect 2 were much too overdrawn for me to take them seriously, unfortunately.

Close to finishing MGS4. There is really no other game series that is taking so much of my sleep away. After playing 2h+ before going to bed I literally am lying awake for like 1-3h just thinking about all the story stuff. Same with MGS1/MGS2/MGS3(I did a MGS marathon the last 2 months).

Also I love how everything is explained in MGS4 and the loose ends get tied together.

and the part where you get back to Shadow Moses Island? WOW, that was an uncomparable nostalgia moment. Just thinking about how often I've watched my brother play MGS1 and played it twice by myself, and then seeing it all reimagined in those graphics, yet everything being the same was just wow)

I finally beat Dark Souls. That game was taunting me long enough. Now off we go for NG+

Ok now I finished MGS4. Jesus what a masterpiece. This has to be the best ending ever as well. But it would be wrong just to praise the game, it's the whole series and the whole build-up that led to the "absolution" of MGS4. Simply epic. This almost brings me to tears:

Also now having finished all the major MGS titles I'm really pissed off @MGR Revengeance.

MGS4 is a perfect ending to all characters and the storyline, so why the hell would Raiden suddenly fight again when he's happily reconciled with his son and wife at the end of MGS4? And why are there still PMCs with Gekkos and Metal Gears around? This better be non-canon. And even if it wasn't, the existence of this would still piss me off.)

Been playing Modern Warfare 3 adversarial multiplayer on the PS3. The balance is hilarious; QBZ-95 and MP7 are instagib death lasers and the dual FMG9s kill everything in front of you.

The survival and infected game modes are a lot of fun though.

Excellent. I'll start it today, Skyrim took more than expected. The main quest is good, but sadly at the end you don't feel the epicness of your victory :-/

i am playing realm of the mad god (also available on steam as a client), it reminds me of the good old gauntlet. running around like an idiot, shooting things and collecting rare equipment. when having "good" equipment there's the inevitable dying and raging. choose class, start over, hope you have some good stuff in your chest... good times
other games i play atm are ro2, kf, rise of flight and occasionally minecraft.
