I just purchased Killing Floor 2 from Steam and can not get it to work. When I click the "launch" tab, it will bring up the Killing Floor splash screen, then the entire screen will go black, and then the windows dialog box will pop up stating:
Killing Floor 2 has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is
available.
CLOSE PROGRAM
Unfortunately, no solution is prompted after that. I have tried uninstalling from the Steam site as well as from my control panel and reinstalling. I have even ran my CCleaner program thinking that may help. Nothing has worked. To check to see if it is my Steam of computer, I ran the other games that I have (7 Days To Die, Age of Empires 2 HD Edition, Kerbal Space Program, Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond The Sword, & Sid Meier's Civilization V) and they all started up and ran fine. I have no more ideas and was hoping for help from the forums.
My computer info is:
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2300 CPU @2.80GHz (6.00GB RAM)
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
