[Mutator] Russian Weapon Translations

[Gartley]

Nice and simple mutator to translate our Russian comrade's weapons into a Latin character set.

As an example this will change the names of the weapons from displaying "~~~74" to "AKS74".

Apologies for the fast and furious updates, I just wanted to get this out there as fast as possible.

NOTE: All weapons must be installed for the mutator to work. I'm looking into this as we speak.

If there any errors, mistakes or omissions let me know. When I've got my hands on some of the other weapons I'll update the mutator.

AKC74 is actually AKS74 in English, since a C in the cyrillic alphabet is a S in the latin alphabet, just pointing out.

Should probably change the weapon names for the following weapons:
PP19-> PP-19 Bizon
Thompson M1 -> M1A1 Thompson
HK-UMP -> UMP-45
VSS -> VSS Vintorez
AS VAL-> AS Val

Just my suggestion, don't have to take it lol

Also, isn't there a M1 Thompson Version with drum magazine?

But nonetheless, it's great to see someone who's taking the initiative to do this.

Oh, those are just abbreviations for the sake of the changelog, where it counts I've already done things like;
VSS Vintorez and PP-19 Bizon

You've got a point on the Thompson, I'll add that to the next update.
Both Thompsons have been translated, Straight and Drum.

Wut's the difference between the Thompson V2 and Thompson M1, just wondering?

EDIT: Figured it out, and also confirmed that the stick mag version is indeed a M1A1 and the drum mag one is a M1928

Also, not sure if you know about this, but if you do check wikipedia, only M1928 version of the Thompson SMG can accept drum magazines (only for naming purposes, but you might get someone who knows his guns to call up about this.).

@Massacrer - Cheers, when it comes to guns I know which end the bullets come from but ask me what model, rounds or flavour they come in I'm clueless.

Much more I'd rather Russian ~~~~ letters translations, it's really annoying seeing conversations such as "~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~? ~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~!"

Yin sorted out a way to display Japanese characters, I'm sure it can be changed to suit all manner of character sets.

It boils down to the fact the Unreal engine by default uses ASCII encoding which is Roman characters only. Where you need UNI-8 for other languages. (I think I got it the right way around)

Probably would be better if you just translate the weapon files yourself, and would definitely help if you know the specs or even just the name of the weapons

For example, for AKS-47u, the description of the weapon that I use is "Kalashnikov Carbine Model 1974, 5.45x39 mm", or for the ThompsonV2, "M1A1 Thompson Submachine Gun, .45 ACP".

Please help.It didnt translate Russian weapons into english. I use LISTEN sever and enable mutator in the menu.

Do you have all the weapons in the list? Because something I found out the other day is you need all the weapons present for the mut to work. It's something I'm looking into.

I installed all the weapons from the Russian Pack from Greg2k2 but this mod still does not work. I think the Molotov, Bastard Sword and Makorov PM are missing from that file.

Ive noticed people saying the links dissapear when downloading from http://narod.ru. This is not the case. You probably have auto-translate on when you click on the link...and then it will dissapear yes. Just make sure the page is temp set to russian and reload it. Voila...there is your link!

I found a mismatch for this one too... With WPC's Bastard Zed mod!!!! Maybe the weapon could have been renamed as Bastard_Sword or something like that instead!
